Costco catering is the party platter service run by each warehouse's deli and bakery. Members order ready-to-serve trays such as sandwich, shrimp and fruit, meat and cheese platters, plus custom sheet cakes, then pick them up at the warehouse. It is not full-service catering, so there is no delivery to venues, setup or hot buffet.
- Four deli platters cost $39.99–$55.99 and each feeds about 12 to 28 people.

Costco party platters cost $39.99–$55.99 in 2026, or roughly $2 to $3.75 a guest. The shrimp platter is the priciest at $55.99 after rising from $39.99 in 2024, while the other platters have held their prices for two years. Prices in the Costco app and at the deli can differ slightly by warehouse.

What party platters does Costco sell?
Costco's deli makes four party platters in 2026: fruit, meat and cheese for $39.99, croissant chicken salad sandwiches for $44.99, artisan bread sandwiches for $49.99 and shrimp with cocktail sauce for $55.99. Each one feeds a dozen to two dozen guests and is ordered ahead for pickup.

Yes, at many warehouses. The deli case often holds ready-made trays such as the vegetable platter with ranch at $4.79/lb and, in some regions, a chicken and Swiss roller platter. Ready-made trays sell out fast on weekends, so a preorder is the only way to be sure.

How do you order Costco party platters in 2026?
Since 2026, Costco takes deli platter and custom cake orders in the Costco app. Open the Warehouse tab, tap Warehouse Ordering, pick your warehouse and platters, and choose a pickup date 3 to 14 days away. Up to five platters fit in one app order, and the paper form at the deli still works.

Can Costco deliver party platters?
Yes, through Costco Same-Day delivery by Instacart, which added custom cakes and party platters in August 2026. Delivered prices run higher than in the warehouse: one recent check showed the fruit, meat and cheese platter at $45 on Same-Day versus $39.99 in store, plus delivery fees and tip.

When should I order Costco platters for the holidays?
Order as soon as the two-week window opens, because holiday weeks fill the deli's capacity first. Costco closes on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day, so pick up the day before. For Thanksgiving 2026, that means ordering between November 11 and November 22 for pickup on Wednesday, November 25.

How do I pick up and keep Costco platters fresh?
Pick up close to party time and bring room in the car to keep trays flat. Platters should sit out no longer than two hours, or one hour above 90°F, so put half out and keep the rest in the fridge. Shrimp needs a cooler with ice for the drive home.
Plan the car space
Platters are wide, flat trays. Lay them on the floor or in the trunk side by side, never stacked.
Serve in rounds
Put out half a platter at a time and refill from the fridge, so food stays inside the two-hour limit.
Common Costco catering problems and how to fix them
Most catering hiccups come from timing, app limits and small details such as missing crackers. Each card gives the quickest fix, so your platters are ready, complete and safe to serve when guests arrive.
The app shows no platters
Your warehouse may not list platters in the app yet. Fill in the paper form at the deli or call the deli department.
I need more than five platters
The app caps each order at five. Call the warehouse deli for the full order, ideally a week ahead.
My party is in two days
App orders need three days. Check the deli case for ready-made trays, or add whole pizzas from the food court.
The meat and cheese came without crackers
Crackers are never included. Grab a box or two from the snack aisle when you pick up.
The shrimp was warm by the time I got home
Bring a cooler with ice, and pick up shrimp last, right before you leave the warehouse.
The price at pickup was different
Each warehouse sets its own prices, and the app shows an estimate. The register price is the final one.
Which Costco platters were discontinued?
The chicken and Swiss pinwheel platter and the plain meat and cheese platter left the national menu at the end of 2023. Regional sushi platters come and go. If a guide still lists these with prices, the rest of its catering prices are likely out of date too.

Can you customize a Costco platter?
No. Each platter follows a fixed recipe, so you cannot swap meats, leave out cheese or add a sauce. Order two different platters if guests need options.
Do Costco platters come with plates or utensils?
No. Platters come in a clear lidded tray with no plates, napkins or serving tongs. Pick those up in the paper goods aisle on the same trip.
How long do Costco platters keep in the fridge?
Sandwich platters taste best the day you pick them up and keep about one more day. Shrimp, meat and cheese keep two to three days if they stay cold.
Are any Costco platters halal?
No US deli platter is labeled halal. The meats are standard Kirkland Signature deli meats, so check with your warehouse before ordering for a halal event.
Can I change or cancel an app order?
Yes. The confirmation email from the Costco app explains how to change or cancel, and changes need to be made before the deli starts preparing your order.
Does Costco offer hot catering?
No. The deli platters are all cold. For hot food, add whole pizzas from the food court or rotisserie chickens from the deli case.
Will Costco deliver and set up at my venue?
No. Costco does not deliver to events or set up food. Same-Day delivery drops platters at your door at a higher price, with no setup.
